Tim Tadlock has 14 years with Pool World. Tim is a true success story at Pool World. Tim started as a Service Technician, moved into the Service Manager position, and now serves as Constructions Operations Manager. Tim is a man of few words, but lets his actions speak for him. He manages our entire construction department for both commercial and residential pools. "We want to be recognized for quality products that will stand the test of time," says Tim.
Ted Kunkel (TK) has only one way to do anything...the right way. Just walk into the equipment room of any commercial pool that we've ever built and you’ll immediately see the "TK Difference." 18 years of servicing pools and spas and an ongoing desire to do things better makes Ted Kunkel a "one of a kind" Construction Superintendent. "I see what other companies do and want my customers to know there is a difference in what we do," says Ted.
Ron Hinton has seen every situation regarding a pool or spa in his 19 years. Ron comes to Pool World after owning a local floor covering company. Ron's background in measuring floors gives him an advantage in measuring for pool liners, pool decking, and the labor to install. "In all my years, I've seen about every situation there is regarding a pool or spa. This gives us the experience to quote accurately and with no surprises for our customer," says Ron.
Ted Puryear has been at Pool World the longest of any employee, over 19 years. His knowledge of the pool industry and swimming pools in our area is impressive. Ted has an excellent memory, so don ' t be surprised if he calls you by your first name when you come into the store. He is also one of a hand full of Certified Pool Operator Instructors in the state. "We are striving not be just a pool and spa supply outlet, but a company that educates you on how to make the operation and use of your pool the most enjoyable," says Ted.
Kim Olsen is at the center of our office operations. She makes the things that we do in the field and in our four stores into information we can use. Kim is "the " person you go to when you have an administrative problem and you want it handled fast. "As our sales and number of employees increase, it takes a lot of my time to keep up to date," says Kim.
Kariann Albert works hard to make our stores an inviting and exciting place for our customers. Kariann is also the manager of Pool World's Central Store. "Pool World is a seasonal business and our stores should reflect those changes. Making our products and services easy to understand and clear pricing is what I strive to do," says Kariann.
Dan Meacham is the manager of our North Store and is always looking for different ways to solve any customer need. Our North Store is a place that delivers Customer Service by the poolful. His dedication to making customers happy is legendary. "I know that helping customers is the way my store is going to grow. Many of our regular customers have been doing business with us for years and the service standard has been set, " says Dan.
Steve Moran is the Service Department Manager and Trainer. He’s also "Mr.Can-Do" at Pool World. From working upside down on an in-deck spa to making that impossible pool repair look easy, Steve Moran is a man on a mission. Steve's background in the automotive service industry makes him well suited to understand today's sophisticated pool chemical monitoring equipment. "I walk up to a job and my mind just starts laying out the steps to fix it in the quickest and most efficient way," says Steve.
Mark Henderson is at the helm of the ship we call Pool World. His energy steers this company full steam ahead toward the goal of being the best and the largest Pool and Spa Company in our region. "I started in High School helping my father grow this company. Today, we have over 60 employees and four stores serving an area of hundreds of square miles," says Mark.
Lyla Henderson is the matriarch of this company. She oversees all of the administrative functions at Pool World. "My late husband, Kerry Henderson, knew that if we offered quality products and services in the pool business that our company would grow...it did and we are," states Lyla. "We are very grateful to our customers for recognizing this in us and giving us their business," she adds.
Caleb O’Bannan was born and raised in the Spokane area and is an essential part of the Pool World team. Caleb joined our team six years ago and is now the Coeur D’Alene branch manager, the warranty coordinator, and a spa salesperson. He particularly enjoys selling pools and spas, as he believes they can bring families together, relieve stress, and lessen everyday aches and pains. When Caleb is not at work, he enjoys bow hunting, kayaking and martial arts. In fact, he has recently achieved his black belt in Shotokan Karate. Althea Mitchell has been a valuable asset to the Pool World team since 2003. During these past few years, she has come to hold an indispensable position within the billing and accounts receivable department. Her position entails a heavy workload, along with being the right hand to not only the General Manager, but also many of her co-workers. She is deeply appreciated for all her hard work and charming personality. Althea is a pleasure to talk to and can be reached at our Valley location.
Blake Mitchell has eight years of experience with Pool World and is living proof that hard work pays off. He started working as a water tester and today he is our sales manager. The responsibilities of his position mainly include over-seeing customer needs, and employee training and development. His broad experience in nearly every aspect of our business makes him an irreplaceable asset to both the company and our customers. In his spare time, Blake enjoys playing video games, watching sports and spending time with friends. Blake is extremely knowledgeable and can be reached primarily at our Valley store.
Lance Strasser has been with Pool World for the last three years, in which time he has become a knowledgeable spa salesperson. His position entails an inclusive knowledge of all spas, water care and financing. Outside of work, Lance enjoys watching the Seahawks, playing soccer, and coaching a youth soccer team. We look forward to having Lance as a team member for years to come. He has a very affable disposition and can be reached at our Coeur D’Alene location.
Dustin King joined the Pool World team after graduating from Washington State University. Dustin is involved in various aspects of company including HR, pricing, purchasing, training, management decisions, and specializes in Plastimayd Winter Safety Cover’s. He continually makes strides to becoming a Master of the Excel spreadsheet, and capitalizes on every opportunity to refine his skills.
Clayton Cooper started at Pool World as a delivery driver three years ago. Since then he has become the Purchase Manager, and has taken on the task of inventory control. Clayton has contributed to many positive company strides over the past two years, and is always looking to be proactive. Pool World has great hopes for Clayton and his future with the company. He continues to build relationships with our vendors, and will continue to become more efficient every day.
Pat Flynn joined Pool World's management team in early 2005 to help with the general business aspects of our growing organization. Pat's 20 years of business experience has enhanced the Pool World management team, allowing other team members to directly focus on their respective areas of the company. We have seen, and expect to continue to see, improvements in many areas of the company as a result of this increased focus, enabling Pool World to be stronger and serve you better.
