How can I remove tree sap, paint,
grease or grime from my Spa TopTM? |

 |
Tree sap can be removed with cigarette lighter fluid. Use
sparingly. Immediately apply conditioner to that area. Solvents used
to remove wet paint, however, will damage the vinyl, so once the paint
is dry, it can't be removed. Grease and grime can be removed by just a
thorough washing with Sunstar's Squeeze'N CleanTM
cleaner or a mild liquid dishwashing soap and water. |

|
What's the best method to clean the
underside of my Spa TopTM? |
|

|
A sponge and simple dishwashing liquid with water. Just be
sure not to get any soap into your spa! |
|

|
I recently had a tree branch create a
small cut along the underside vinyl of my Spa TopTM.
What can I do to repair this? |
|

|
Easy! Call your spa professional for one of our vinyl repair
patch kits. It's a simple process to patch the vinyl and in most cases
can be done so it doesn't show. |

I'm wondering about mildew. It this a
potential problem?
|
|

|
The key is to maintain proper water chemistry levels to
avoid mildew. However, if you do encounter mildew with your cover,
here's a simple way to get rid of it. Remove the foam cores from the
vinyl encasement. Mix water, a teaspoon of mild dishwashing soap and
one cup of bleach. With a soft bristle brush, scrub the inside of the
encasement thoroughly. Then take a washcloth and wipe down each foam
core. Rinse both thoroughly. Place the encasement in the sun and foam
cores in the shade to dry. (Do not put foam cores in the sun - they
can melt!). Once everything is dry, spray the cores and encasement
with a mildew inhibitor. Allow all to dry completely, then reassemble. |
|

|
What if my foam core gets broken? Can
I obtain replacement foam cores of the same quality? |
|

|
You bet! Just ask your Sunstar dealer for genuine Sunstar
replacement foam cores. We use our exclusive Antaeus
2000TM
vapor lock seal which has virtually eliminated soggy foam cores. |

I live in a winter climate where we
get lots of snow and ice. Is there anything special I should do for my
cover during winter? |
|

|
Actually, there are several winter Do's and Don'ts that will
help prolong the life of your cover. They are published in our free
Winterizing Tips Sheet. You can order this by email,
fax or phone. Most important is to gently remove the accumulations off
your cover after each snowfall or icestorm, using a soft broom, never
a rake or shovel or any other sharp tools. |
|

|
Would anything happen to my cover if
my spa water is over chemicalized? |
|

|
Some bleaching of the bottom vinyl will naturally occur with
any spa. However, drastic color change is your first sign of improper
water chemistry. Since this is not healthy for your cover, your spa or
your skin, we suggest you ask your dealer how to maintain healthy
water chemistry. |
